In the multiplication problem at the right, each blank space represents a missing digit.

To have the first product i.e; 4 _ _ * 7 = _ _ 82
=> Units place should be 2, the multiple of 7 with units place 2 is 42 which is 6*7
i.e;  4 _ 6*7 = _ _ 82

10th place is 8 and we have a carry over of 4 from units place
=> _ *7 = _ 4
multiple of 7 with 4 in the units place is 14 which is 2*7
i.e; 426*7 = 2982

Second product is 426*_ = 12 _ _
=> Thousands and hundreds place is 12, multiple of 4 which is 12 or less. i.e; 4*3 or less.
i.e; the number should be 3 or less.
Substituting 3
426*3=1278

So the total product is 426*37 = 15762

The product is 15762
