How many different squares can be traced?


Each of the boxes in the figure at the right is a square. Using the lines of the figure, how many different squares can be traced?

Counting 1 X 1 squares there are 15.
Counting 2 X 2 squares there are 6.
Counting 3 X 3 squares there is 1.

Total 22 squares can be traced in the given figure.
